Do I need a base or a floor?

It depends on the shed. Many resin sheds come with a floor panel and sit on any flat, level spot. Many metal sheds do not, and want a base you prepare first, often a concrete pad or a timber frame. The product page says which when the maker lists it.

How long does assembly take?

A deck box or a storage bench usually takes under an hour with a screwdriver. A walk-in shed is often a half day, and it goes much easier with two people because the wall panels are long.

Is it actually waterproof?

Most are weather resistant, which is not the same as sealed. Rain runs off and things stay dry, but air still moves through and a cold snap can bring a little condensation. Cushions and tools are fine. Paper and electronics want a lidded bin inside.

Will it blow over?

Anchor it. Most sheds ship with an anchor kit and the maker will tell you to use it. An empty shed is a big light box with a flat side facing the wind.
